Privacy Policy

Overview

AstroSanmei ("the App") is developed and operated by MT Scientech LLC ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Key point: AstroSanmei performs all divination calculations entirely on your device. Your birth date and profile data are stored locally and are never transmitted to our servers.

Local-only profile storage

AstroSanmei stores profile information only on your device. This may include your name, birth date, birth time, birth place, registered characters, transfer-student birth information, favorites, and app settings. AstroSanmei does not operate a developer server that receives, stores, or processes this profile and birth information.

Birth place search and MapKit

If you use birth place search, place search and geocoding are handled by Apple’s MapKit. The text you enter for place search may be processed by Apple in order to return place suggestions or coordinates. AstroSanmei does not receive or store your birth place search queries on a developer-operated server.

Purchases and StoreKit

AstroSanmei does not send your profile or birth information to a developer-operated server. Certain Apple system services may use network communication when you choose to use related features. For example, MapKit may be used for birth place search, and StoreKit/App Store may be used for purchases, subscription status, and purchase restoration.

No developer-operated profile server

AstroSanmei itself does not send profile information, birth dates, birth times, birth places, registered characters, or transfer-student birth information to a developer-operated server. This is separate from Apple service processing used by features you choose, such as MapKit or StoreKit.

iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync in Settings, registered character data on your device is saved to your personal iCloud account and merged with registered character data from other iPhone/iPad devices where iCloud sync is also enabled with the same Apple ID. This data is stored in your iCloud account managed by Apple and is not accessible to MT Scientech LLC.

When you turn sync off, that device no longer participates in iCloud sync, and registered characters are stored only on that device. Turning sync off does not delete characters already saved on each device. Your own profile information (name, birth date, birth time, birth place) is not included in iCloud sync.

Children's Privacy

AstroSanmei is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
